Installing FileMaker

Before installing

Check if your version of macOS meets system requirements here.

  1. Open fmp_22.0.2.202.dmg1 in your Downloads folder
  2. You will now see a window with FileMaker Pro on the left and a shortcut to the Apps folder on the right
  3. Drag FileMaker Pro into the Apps folder and open the application
  4. macOS asks you if you are sure you want to open FileMaker Pro - click Åbn
  5. Tick the checkbox in the lower left corner and click Accept
  6. You will now see a small window with the heading "FileMaker Pro License"
  7. If the serial number has already been entered under "License Certificate", click on Next. Otherwise, click on Browse for Certifikate... and point to "LicenseCert.fmcert", located in the Downloads folder

Installing shortcut

For easy launch of Structure, a shortcut must be placed in the Dock on your Mac.

  1. In Finder - go to your Downloads folder
  2. Double-click "Shortcut to Structure (macOS).zip"
  3. Drag the extracted shortcut (green Structure app icon) into your Apps folder
  4. Go into the Apps folder
  5. Drag the Structure shortcut down into the Dock on the right (between the divider and the trash can)

Login in Structure

You must now log in to Structure for the first time.

  1. Click the Structure shortcut in the Dock
  2. Put a cross in the lower left corner and click `Accept'
  3. Tick "Always permit connection to this host" and click `Connect'
  4. Enter your username2 in "Account Name" and the temporary password2 and click Sign in
  5. You will now have to replace the temporary password with your own personal password
  6. Structure is now ready for use
